Feedback

At the Easter Course 2009, we asked for feedback. Here is a selection of the responses.

A big thank you to all the teachers, committee and helpers for their contribution in making the Holiday Orchestra such a great event. It was my daughter’s first time and she enjoyed it so much that she is very keen to attend the summer event.

Just to say how much my son, enjoyed the Easter holiday course. We are new to Holiday Orchestra and he came out so enthusiastic and happy. Thank you very much and we look forward to the next one!

My daughter enjoyed it very much, especially the 7+ choir (as always!). For myself, I was very impressed with the Upper Wind presentation (spoken as a string player!).

First of all, congratulations and a very big thank you to you and your colleagues for another very successful holiday orchestra. My son (clarinet and choir) and my daughter (violin, recorder, choir) had an enjoyable and challenging week and are already talking about the summer session. The presentations were superb – I thought the tutors worked wonders to achieve such high standards after only four mornings of rehearsals!

It was great to see so many children involved in music-making - obviously enjoying themselves.

I was particularly impressed with the 7+ choir. The commitment and enthusiam shown by all was very clear - and they did so well to learn all of those words! I think Lesley Ford was tremendous - offering bags of energy and inspiring the children through fun!

Thank you all so much - I'm confident that my daughter will be returning. Her words upon collection were: " I don't want it to end. Can I come again tomorrow?"

Also, thanks to you and the team for another great week. My children are not especially musical and are not generally very enthusiastic about playing their instruments but holiday orchestra is always a real hit with them so your tutors certainly weave some magic!

I wanted to say a big thank you from my son who thoroughly enjoyed his first Holiday Orchestra. He feels that he learned a lot as well as having tremendous fun.

My son enjoyed the Easter Course very much, we would like to thank and congratulate everyone who was involved in organising the course.

Thank you to all the musician teachers, director and organizing staff for such a wonderful week for the children in music. The programme was was so ambitious and full yet everything ran so very smoothly and our daughter enjoyed it thoroughly and feels nicely exhausted today! We look forward to the next orchestra!

You invited feedback today so I thought I'd let you know the first two things my daughter said to me as we left today. The first was "I'm really sad it's over" and the second was "can I go on the summer one?". Thank you very much I have been amazed how much enthusiasm is generated in my daughter by holiday orchestra. She has had a fantastic time. I'd like to thank everybody involved.
